Icelandic Black Soil

My main inspiration currently comes from the nature around me. My aim is to capture the feeling of a scene rather than every detail, so my work leans towards impressionism. I love painting places or moments that are often overlooked in daily life such as a glace at the sun streaming through a tree and hitting the road, or a vista of a park you go to everyday and forget to admire. I want to highlight the beauty of our everyday life. My recent focus has been Oregon landscapes as I find the grand nature here endlessly inspiring, but I have always loved portraits and will continue painting them.
