Deanna Schuerbeke

I create large-scale abstract paintings that bring a room alive through movement, emotion, and atmosphere. Inspired by nature and the tension between chaos and calm, my work explores what happens beneath the surface—what we carry, what we try to hold together, and what happens when we let go. My paintings are meant to be felt as much as they are seen. I want them to add depth and presence to a space while leaving room for each viewer to bring their own experience to the work.
