I have spent much of my life close to nature; on islands, among forests, and on the water. I feel a closeness and connection to the essence of its being. This comes through in how I choose my materials and the voice I want to communicate through them. My work begins intuitively. Though I may have something I want to communicate, I allow my materials to speak to me as I create, and once they do, the creative process begins to alchemize them into an expression of story. I hope the work invites viewers into a moment of stillness and contemplation. My desire is that each piece resonates with others, creating space for quiet connection and personal reflection.
